Description

A pretty French ornate antique chandelier, with a top row of delicate arms each holding unusual smoked grey beetle drops protruding from a reeded column leading into an ornate frame. The central band has flower basket motifs and issues six scrolling arms each holding brass cameo panels from which hang a large clear pear drop and two clear grapes. Six external lights sit behind the cameos and when lit the light shines through the crystal, there are a further three internal lights which sit in the centre of the chandelier and shine through the glass. The bottom of the chandelier has three graduated tiers in the shape of a heart, the top two rows are of crystal buttons and the bottom row has icicle drops. The chandelier is made of brass with a pleasant verdigris finish on parts of the frame and with a lovely antique patina this unusual chandelier will look wonderful in any internal space. c1920's. Restored, wired, pat tested and ready to hang.
